Airplants Hate Me.

I've had losses with my airplants every damn week. This whole "soak them and let them dry" thing just is not working for us. I don't know if it's because they're not drying fast enough or if I just have shitty luck, but I'm changing my methods after today. No more soaking for anything other than Ionanthas or Argenteas.

I've not even SUBMERGED and soaked since my first loss! Back then I just chucked everything in the sink for about an hour (seeing as how I hadn't misted or anything for a week) and put it on a towel to dry. More recently, I've dunked, and then kept the root area out of the water, letting the leaves soak for around 20 minutes. STILL rot sets in on at least one every week! WTF!

So I will be mounting them instead. I've picked up some lovely driftwood (legally), and will be cleaning it off and drying it out. Then, I'll be bloody mounting my remaining airplants (though one I'm going to pop in my terrarium) and I'll simply mist them at the same time as I mist my ferns and other thirsty babies.

The frustration is real, fellas.
