My 40th Birthday Present to ME

IF (and only IF) I can keep 90% of my plants alive by 1st June 2021, and IF (and only IF) I have been successful in propagating cuttings consistently, THEN I will spend the big bucks on a Variegated Monstera cutting of my very own, as my 40th birthday present to myself.

These are suuuuch pretty plants, I've had my eyes on them and been entering giveaways, looking for low bids on eBay, only for the auction to suddenly skyrocket at the last minute. But you know, it's probably for the best at this stage, as I'm still a plant parent noob who struggles with overwatering, pests (bloody fungus gnats are doing my head in, and my banana and alocasia polly have leaf issues), and propagation from stems and leaves.

So I figure, by June next year I should have a firm grasp on this whole planty business and be able to purchase a cutting in the confidence that I can raise it to be a happy planty of my very own. Sounds reasonable, yeah?

And in the meantime it has been requested that I buy no more plants... which means that any I do buy have to go straight upstairs so that I can bring them down at a later date for repotting or maintenance without raising suspicions.
